Welcome
I am a senior scientist (and Privatdozent) in the Department of Mathematics at ETH Zürich.
My research lies in the convex hull of group theory, number theory, and dynamics. If you are interested in doing a Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis with me, please first have a look at the research interests page to see whether something catches your eye.
I am part of the dynamics group at ETH/UZH and help run the ergodic theory and dynamical systems seminar. See this website for more details about the dynamics group and the seminar.
My research is partially supported by a grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation. See this website for more details and for events we organize.

- We will have a grant group meeting on December 3–4 at ETH with several planned talks. Please see the details here.
- These dates were chosen so that this meeting is adjacent to the Number Theory Days 2025.
- In 2026 I will take part in some of the activities in this beautiful (pun intended) program, "Illustration as a Mathematical Research Technique". You can also explore the amazing work of people in this community here.
- I will visit Princeton for two weeks at the beginning of March 2026.
- On 10 March 2026, Isabelle Gallagher will give the Alice Roth Lecture at ETH Zürich.
